North Bengkulu Regent Ir. Mian explained that the development that had been carried out so far had been quite optimal.
However, he asked all OPDs to work even harder so that by 2025 development could be even more rapid.
"I have explained in the public discussion that it is impossible for us to only rely on the APBD as a support with the condition of the APBD being so small," he explained.
So he asked all OPD Heads to look at programs in each ministry regarding possible programs that could be implemented in North Bengkulu.
These programs can be in the form of Assistance Tasks (TP), Ministry Programs implemented in North Bengkulu to physical improvement programs funded by the Ministry.
"We still really need program support from the Ministry or APBN, so that all OPD heads must work even harder to pursue development," he explained.
In recent years, development in the health sector in North Bengkulu has been in the spotlight, especially the establishment and operation of the Pratama Hospital (RSP).
Apart from that, the North Bengkulu Regency Government also received the construction of two National Prototype health centers from the Ministry of Health and continued construction of the Community Health Centers which was covered by the APBD.
"However, this achievement must continue to be improved so that people can continue to receive excellent health services," said Mian.
Apart from that, physical development facilities are still the government's main target, both physical infrastructure in the form of roads, bridges, irrigation and others.
As well as educational infrastructure and other residential facilities, programs are also available in several ministries.
Apart from that, Mian also explained non-physical achievements, including the reduction in poverty rates and stunting under-five children in North Bengkulu, which occurs every year.
"Every year, stunting and poverty rates decrease in North Bengkulu, in line with increasing economic growth," he said.
Even during Covid-19, the North Bengkulu Regency Government was still successful in reducing the poverty rate with various community social assistance programs.
Including the success in reducing regional inflation rates that occurred nationally in 2023 and earned North Bengkulu an award from the Ministry of Finance.
"We also get fiscal incentives for our performance in reducing inflation," he explained.
